Continuing our journey through the city, we join a so-called "Lapin"(Rabbit) in a large animated garden:
the Ciutadella Park.
Lapin is an illustrator based in Barcelona for several years. He host us tonight. His specialty is to sketch on old accounting books, with a black pen, adding touches of bright colors with watercolor. Those days, he organizes a drawing festival in the city, pushing every one to try to sketch. Discover his site.
We spend the rest of the day drawing together in the park. Maëlle paints quietly with gouache on colored paper.
Simon sketches sitting, standing, lying down, and always changes techniques.
Meanwhile, I observe the gap between the colorful happy balloons of the park and the sad face of the man who sells them.
Simon also noticed the balloons, but he's paying more attention to the other end of the string.
We have good time together, mixing our points of view.
