1500 years BC, the Nuragui populated Sardinia. They used to bury their dead in large collective vaults, which are now called "the tombs of the giants". Right in front of the archaeological site stands this mountain. In 4000 years it must not have changed that much. While painting it, I imagine Bronze Age men and women turning around, looking at this landscape, meditating a bit on life and death, and going back home.
