Through the rain, we hear « Didi Maïelouuuu , Didi Maïelouuuu ».
This is Maëlle’s nickname in Nepal, it means « big sister sweetheart ».
Someone recognized her.

The first familiar face emerging from the chaos.
This lady is called « Didi » , she was Maëlle’s neighbor in Golphu Banjyang.
I stayed at her place twelve years ago.

For years, she and her husband held a small lodge in the main street. Looking their destroyed house,
I can see my old room. They now live in a shelter, on the top of a hill overlooking the ruins of their ancient life.
On the other side of the mound, people of different villages gathered in a camp.
