This week I met Julienne Morisseau. Her life is strongly linked to the Haitian diaspora.

Her parents, born on the island, left because of the the economic situation and settled in Guyana.
Julienne is the eldest in a family of five children born in French Guyana. She obtained bachelor
at 18 and decided to continue her studies in Paris. She is now a young woman who is aware
of the opportunities that the school can offer to the children.

So she decided to support the school "Help the Children" created by her father
in the southwest of Haiti. Through the association OSEDH (O rescue Haitian poor children),
supported by seven volunteers, she fights for children's education. The team exists also
thanks to Gaia Molinari, Valentina Carraro and Clemente Bernard DLF Deportivo.
They are situated in an area affected by the rural depopulation and the deforestation.
In 2015, they helped 200 children and pay 8 teachers and staff. This year, they increase
their capacity to 215 children and 10 staff people.

Their want to repair the damage caused by the recent hurricane, continue to ensure
free education and a daily meal to children in the region. At medium term, OSEDH
would build a canteen, an infirmary and a library. In the future, the association wants
to enlarge the school's reception capacity in a building following the earthquake standards,
implement a module attractive rural development training and participate in the reforestation
of the area.
