I enjoyed so much the adventure of the Fine Arts Museum that the next day, I visited Seville with two markers in my pocket. Let's go for the short poses.

The question I've heard the most in the last ten years is: "How long did it take to make this drawing?". At first, it annoyed me. I would have preferred to receive impressions, even bad ones, rather than being questioned about my efficiency, and therefore my profitability.

As the years go by, I recognize that it can be difficult to express your feelings or your opinion in an unknown area. Time is a concrete piece of data that is easier to query. I don't know anything about oenology. To the winegrower who want to know what taste is blooming on my palate, I could ask: Is it long to prune a row of vines ?

The beauty of a work does not depend on the time necessary for its creation. An artist is not better because he paints quickly. A Japanese calligrapher can produce a wonder with a simple gesture after practicing for fifty years. The Facteur Cheval has, on a sudden revelation, decideed to devoted his entire life to a masterpiece.

The stopwatch is a tool for practicing. For the rest, we do not care about time. We take what we can, what we need, and that's fine.
