Lorenzo di Stephano was born in the Molise, in the south of Italy. He came to the University
of Corte to study political science. He would like to get a scholarship for a doctorate.
Passionate about history, he tries to understand how the big political movements
of the twentieth century managed to spread their ideas in isolated villages.

I was born in a village of 6,000 inhabitants. We have 30 fascists in the area,
but it is enough to spoil the atmosphere. My brother opened a center to help
the refugees : a goat's head was found in front of his door.
