The Vaporetto is the public transportation boat. Luckily, there is a station in my reachable zone.
I can float up to the monuments along the canal and study their architecture.
I travel at sunrise when everything is quiet.

 

My first expedition brings me to San Salute, a basilica built three centuries ago to celebrate
the end of the plague. In my own way, I pray and think of the votive offering in Athens.
