On the dunes overlooking the Michigan Lake, the trees are wind-blown and matted in vegetal knots. You must look closely to distinguish each one, mixed up in the mass. Some trees rise up above the group to grab the light. Others, almost totally  uprooted, survive miraculously. Some others develops themselves on the sidelines.
