I decide to walk the distance between Bridgeport and Chinatown. On the map, it looks like very close.

After walking along a dusty highway under a boiling sun for over an hour, I start to regret being such a tiny biped. The cities built after the invention of the car are clearly not on a human scale. Only people who have grown up in a medieval place believe that you can cross a city in a day with a quiet walk.
