Villa Grimaldi is a strange combination of a charming botanical garden but also having the worst horrors of the dictatorship. Before Pinochet, it was a reception place with a swimming pool and a rose garden. It has been requisitioned after the putsch to torture the prisoners.
A bunch of hutches were built at the bottom of the park. They measured one meter long and two meters large. The military could group inside four or five prisoners. "When one of us had just been tortured, we were staying on our toes, to let him enough space to sit down.

Sometimes, " said Renato, “ we could hear the children of the military laughing in the garden. They invited their families for the weekend. It was absurd. One day, I was tied to the metallic bed, being electrified, and suddenly the soldier stopped. It was 4 o'clock : he left for his Christmas shopping. I was there, stretched out, and I thought : "This guy is burning me mechanically, as you classify a file!" Absolute madness.
In one of the rooms, the pictures of the military are printed on a large panel. I notice the portrait of a woman who makes me feel very uncomfortable. " Oh yes, " said Cococho, " this woman was really perverse! She had trained her dogs to rape women." Seriously? But what happened to those people ?  Where are they ?  " They're not so bad. Some are free, the others are in Punta Peuco, a comfortable prison build by the army, with tennis and swimming pool. They probably still believe they are heroes of war or something like that.
