Because of the differences of religion, caste and social level, it seems difficult to make a love marriage in India. Nevertheless, recent national studies that this is changing (in 2012, more than 9,000 intercultural marriages were recorded in India, almost a third more than the previous year).
 
The urbanization, education and employment of women, as well as the strengthening of the middle class, make it possible to develop independence and therefore the right to choose. Access to education is, as always, the keystone of the change.
