Back to Bridgeport. Morgan Richardson, a friend of Lucie, opens the door of a clean and cute flat decorated with paintings and embroideries. «I like experimentation. Working the clay, the wool or the fabric. It is always surprising to observ how the material reacts.»

I notice that Morgan seams exhausted. «I work for a non-profit organization that helps youth who are experiencing homelessness. Youth residing in the emergency shelter are in need of a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. I spend a lot of time listening to them, and it can be very difficult at times. Many of the youth have experienced childhood trauma, which impacts brain development and mental health. The government does not have enough resources, and the foster care system is overwhelmed with children. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) focuses on reunifying children with their families, which isn’t always the best solution, but alternative options are limited. So yes, sometimes, I have difficulties to get a rest.»
